How to add Text Annotation to a Chart

Background:

This article shows how to add text annotation to a chart. Text annotation will allow readers to understand the chart more in depth.

Steps to Complete:

1. In a new or existing dashboard, select/create a chart. In the dashboard designer, select the desired chart that you would like to have text annotation added.
2. In the top right corner of the chart, there is 3 buttons .
3. Select the middle button (text box image). A text box will pop up and this is where you can type your text annotation.
4. When the dashboard is previewed, and the chart is hovered over or selected, there will be 4 buttons. The second button is the text box. When the text box is selected, the viewer will be able to read the text annotation.
