Server and Data Management Enhancements

The core server platform has been significantly updated to provide better security, management, and performance:

• Enhanced Security: We’ve added robust support for external user authentication using JSON Web Tokens (JWT), providing flexible and secure integration options for your applications.
• Improved Admin Portal: Administrators will find an enhanced user experience in the Admin portal, offering better control and simplified navigation for managing key areas like Users, Groups, Roles, and Tenants.
• Streamlined Document Management: Users will benefit from improved and consolidated options for creating and uploading documents. There are also new options available to effectively manage both Documents and Resources within the platform.
• Better Data Query Handling: The server now provides improved and clearer error messages for end-users when data queries fail during Dashboard refreshes.
• Data Model Support: The server now includes support for enhanced Analytic Data Models, which are leveraged by the new modules like WynAI, WynDataFlows, and WynNotebooks.

Introducing the Wyn ETL Add-on:  Visual Data Preparation for Everyone 

One of the most impactful additions in Wyn Enterprise Server v9.0 is the new WynDataFlows Add-on, a no-code visual designer for building data flows. Users can now visually define how data should be queried, cleaned, blended, transformed, and governed before it is used in datasets and data models.

Key capabilities include:

• Drag-and-drop data pipeline creation
• Connect to diverse sources including JSON, databases, Big Data, CSV, and more
• Incremental data updates for large datasets
• Reusable flows to support organization-wide dataOps processes

Data Engine Enhancements:  More Power, Simpler Analytics 

Wyn Enterprise v9.0 expands the platform’s analytical capabilities with new data engine enhancements. This includes additional WAX functions such as MEDIAN, along with simplified QuickFunctions for common period-over-period calculations like YoY, MoM, and QoQ.

These updates make it easier for analysts and business users to build powerful calculations without complex expressions, helping them focus on interpretation instead of formula writing.

Dataset Designer Improvements. Faster, Smarter Modeling

This release includes multiple enhancements that improve both the performance and usability of the Dataset Designer. Users can expect a more intuitive experience when defining relationships, building queries, and governing sensitive data.

New updates include:

• Automatic detection and assignment of unique columns
• A built-in SQL query viewer/editor
• Enhanced join options referencing lookup tables
• Improved UX for replacing tables within datasets
• Ability for dashboards to pass user interactions as parameter inputs
• Option to mark dataset parameters as Hidden for stronger governance

These enhancements make dataset development faster and more secure, enabling organizations to build governed data sources with less effort.

Performance & Security Enhancements

Performance continues to be a central priority for Wyn Enterprise. Version 9.0 includes improved query execution speed for dashboards and newly added health monitoring indicators to alert administrators of potential overload conditions. Security has also been strengthened with improved safeguards around sensitive context value storage.
